awards

In our history, we've received hundreds of building awards and certificates of recognition. However, getting medals is never what we set out to do.

Still, these awards are important to us and, for that matter, should be just as important to anyone looking to hire a builder. Awards reflect the standing compnaies have with the industry experts and peers. If you win them, you know you're not just creating a great building, you're setting a standard.

St. Clare Catholic Church

TCA Achievement Award (2/4/2010)

Tilt-Up Concrete Association
O'Fallon, IL
The new St. Clare Catholic Church in O’Fallon, Illinois, was created to provide a feeling of “timelessness” -- a connection to Assisi, Italy and St. Clare’s history. At the same time, the design needed to account for contemporary building and design performance standards. This facility is the first in a multi-phase master plan, so its form, proportions, materials, patterns, textures, and design elements will set the tone for all future parish facilities. The versatility and durability of tilt-up concrete offered the best value for the 7.5 million dollar project. The 29,000-square-foot facility creates a strong visual impact using a combination of rock-faced and smooth CMU veneers, precast concrete arches and lintels, aluminum windows, and heavy-laminated, terra-cotta-colored asphalt shingles
Nevada Cancer Institute Support Center

Best of 2009 (12/15/2009)

Southwest Contractor Magazine
Las Vegas, NV
The Support Services Building was the second building erected on the campus environment. The design has to adhere to the existing atmosphere as well as the two-tiered design review as previously stated. TKC Design was instructed to incorporate the similar vocabulary as the existing site for all design elements and materials. The new design had to take into consideration the circulation patterns with the existing building and surrounding campus. The parking allotted for the existing building was determined to be deficient necessitating the design and construction of a new parking structure again consistent with the established design criteria. The Support services Building houses offices for administrative and development services. It was designed to include for clinical trials and personnel training. But most importantly, the Support Services Building provides the much needed support and educational spaces for this growing and caring organization.
