At The Korte Company, we deliver construction that meets business needs, within precise project parameters in a process that makes life easy for owners. This is one of our many nursing home construction projects, and it’s one of our strongest.
Faith Countryside Homes is the first assisted living facility located in Highland, Illinois, as well as the first dedicated, state-of-the-art Alzheimer’s unit in the area. We were hired as general contractor to construct the new, 72,450-square-foot building that replaced the original nursing care facility built in the 1960s. We proudly worked with the owner and architect to generate about $750,000 in cost-saving ideas to meet budget constraints.
The project consisted of a new building with three single-level wings and one multi-level wing just west of the existing nursing care facility. The nursing center, a skilled care facility, replaced the existing 62-bed unit. The Alzheimer and Dementia unit contains 14 sheltered care beds and has a healing garden on the outside — an external wandering area. There are 36 one-bedroom and studio apartments on the second and third floors in the assisted-living area located in the multi-level wing.
Faith Countryside Homes is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to caring for older adults who cannot, or no longer wish to live their own. The home offers a full range of assistance, including independent apartments, assisted living, and long-term care.
We’re proud to build such an important nursing home facility right in our hometown of Highland, Illinois where we’re headquartered. Learn more about our senior living construction at The Korte Company.
