Healthcare construction isn’t just about building hospitals. At The Korte Company, we’re committed to building healthy communities in all aspects of life. In this case, it meant bringing a brand new wellness and fitness facility to Hillsboro, Illinois.
The Hillsboro Area Health Services Wellness and Fitness Facility is a 35,000-square-foot facility, with a two-story, tilt-up concrete structure in the recreation area. The new center, common entrance and lobby all house the hospital’s outpatient physical therapy department.
Additional features include an exercise room equipped with cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, a multipurpose gymnasium, and zero-entry Olympic size indoor pool with four lap lanes, a lazy river and a children’s play area. An elevated walking track overlooks the pool and exercise area. We’re proud of this build as it shows the innovative versatility of our team and our work.
