We’ve completed about 19 million square feet of distribution center space. At more than half a million square feet, this is one of our biggest distribution center builds to date.
This new distribution center for Multi-Employer Property Trust joins several other million-plus-square-foot facilities in the Gateway Commerce Center. In this Design-Build project, we used tubular steel interior columns with 50-by-50-foot typical bays. Entries are made of anodized aluminum storefront systems with 1-inch insulating glass. We equipped the building with an early suppression fast response automatic sprinkler system.
The facility, 513,000 square feet in size, is a multi-tenant building that hosts 68 loading docks and has parking capacity for 175 automobiles and 77 truck trailers.
This build featured total team coordination from start to finish, and we used our full knowledge of distribution to get the job done within the time and budget parameters.
