American Foods Group, the fifth-largest beef processing company in the United States ships over 4 million pounds of beef in a single day.

As primary meat suppliers to the food service, retail, and international markets, the ability to process and deliver the highest quality meat products is their number one goal.

Their customers expect on-time delivery, and any interruption in service would be detrimental to their short- and long-term business objectives. So when they needed to modernize their facility in Oklahoma City, they needed a Design-Build construction company that could work around their production schedule.

Central to the 2,037-square-foot project was the installation of a spiral freezer, capable of freezing 6,200 pounds of beef per hour. The process takes fully cooked beef patties at 180 degrees and cools them to 0 degrees in 32 minutes. Additional improvements included modifications to the facility’s existing building and piping systems.
