The Korte Company, a Design-Build construction company headquartered in St. Louis, MO, has recently begun work at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The company was awarded the Design-Build project through the U.S. Corps of Engineers Kansas City Division. The project is a 10,229 square foot addition to an existing medical facility at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The Design-Build project also includes a 3,100 square foot remodel of the interior space upon completion.
The building envelope consists of a veneered metal stud system with a mix of masonry and cast stone. The entire façade of the building has been designed to match the color and profile of the Existing Clinic. The exterior wall of the proposed clinic addition extends up forming a parapet that matches the vocabulary of the existing clinic.
When complete, the facility is expected to obtain a Silver LEED Certification through the USGBC.
