Situated in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, The Four Seasons Resort at Vail is one of the country’s most iconic Alpine resorts. Since its opening in 2010, this legendary 121-room lodge has set the standard for luxurious retreats both domestically and internationally.
When one of New York City’s most successful developers, Extell Development, acquired the property to expand its premier market portfolio, they partnered with The Korte Company to help renovate the newly acquired asset.
The multi-floor interior renovation encompassed a full modernization of common areas, 97 guest rooms and 16 residential properties. Guest room improvements included new flooring, casework and trim as well as stonework and masonry. Bath areas were remodeled and modernized with new vanities and hardware. To enhance the guest experience, a Lutron hands-free personalized light control system was installed throughout.
Guest corridors were also updated with new wall coverings, paint and a decorative lighting package. The residential properties received a similar update as the guest rooms that included new flooring, paint, casework, trim, stone and masonry upgrades. Bath areas were also renovated with new tile work, hardware and vanities. In addition, the residence kitchens were remodeled and equipped with new kitchen appliances.
This project is the cornerstone of the overall Master Plan developed by Extell Development for The Four Seasons Resort, and The Korte Company continues to work closely with them to ensure every phase of construction is delivered within the limited time frame of the off season.
