The Korte Company was awarded the Design-Build contract for the construction of the Virtual Warfare Center Operations Facility at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
The Korte Design-Build team delivered a 60,000-square-foot durable, safe and secure, energy-efficient, low-maintenance, and aesthetically-appropriate building that incorporates the base’s standards and fits in the context of the adjacent neighboring structures.
The facility houses several flight simulators including F-15C, F-15E, Airborne Warning And Control System, Remotely Piloted Aircraft as well as Cyber and Space Simulator workstations. Additionally, the new facility’s design incorporates offices and briefing rooms, used for training purposes of the Combat Air Force.
This facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art virtual environment second only to the real-world experience. The highest levels of security are needed for the building and infrastructure contained within.
The Korte team was able to create an exceptional work environment, enabling Air Force personnel to be productive, thereby enhancing morale and offering the best value to the government.
