The Battalion Operations Complex (BOC) at Fort Lewis, Washington is the workplace of the Special Operations Forces who train, deploy and return to this facility.
The two-building complex is an essential part of their military career and is designed to provide a feeling of pride and ownership. Battalion headquarters house battalion-level offices and the Company Operations Facility houses company- and platoon-level offices, storage facilities for individual and company equipment as well as deployment spaces.
As a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Silver facility, the BOC is designed to achieve 30% energy savings over current ASHRAE standards and will include high-efficiency HVAC, plumbing and electrical components throughout the facility. The buildings and site comply with Anti-Terrorism Standards and are configured to meet or exceed those requirements as listed. Sensitive to the style, scale and materials of the local region, the overall design creates a vernacular of rugged contemporary.
We’re proud to build quality facilities for our nation’s best. Learn more about military construction at The Korte Company.
