Centra Point LLC selected The Korte Company to renovate 6,000 square feet of an existing space to accommodate its newest tenant, Henderson Engineers. Within three months, the extensive renovation project was delivered on time and on budget.
The project included the entire second floor of the occupied building and required a considerable amount of selective demolition. Existing doors, frames, ceiling tile, fixtures, duct work and non-structural walls were removed. To minimize the project’s impact on existing tenants, demolition work and heavy construction was conducted after normal working hours.
The modified floorplan included new construction and finish work to incorporate a new glass encased conference room, metal framed interior walls, and partition walls. Glass doors and corresponding glass sidelights along with acoustical ceilings and LED lighting were added throughout to complement the interior’s open aspect design.
The original flooring materials were removed to reveal the existing concrete, which was repaired, polished and sealed to create a contemporary finish throughout the public space including hallways, workrooms and entry. Tile and carpet accents were also integrated into the overall design.
The scope of work also included the installation of fire sprinklers, new plumbing, HVAC modifications as well as low voltage electrical systems.
