Here at The Korte Company, we’ve been working with the United States Department of Defense for more than 30 years on projects for every branch of the military. So when they need Design-Build healthcare facilities for the greatest fighting force in the world, they know they can count on us.
We believe the men and women who protect our freedoms at home and abroad deserve the highest quality healthcare facilities available. That’s why, from the Design-Build techniques at our roots to pioneering smart interior healthcare design, we’re proud to pour all our experience and expertise into the healthcare facilities we construct for our soldiers.
Take, for instance, our soldier family care clinic at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The DOD awarded us this contract to design a 35,000+ foot joint medical and dental facility on the very site that the rockets that took Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to the moon were developed. We made sure our integrated healthcare design paid homage to the desert testing grounds that are the literal launch pad for innovation in rocket technology.
The Korte Company was also contracted to design additions to the medical clinic at Fort Campbell in Kentucky, home to the “Screaming Eagles” of the 101st Airborne Division, one of the most storied units in the United States Army. The addition was designed to seamlessly mesh with the existing facility, while greatly expanding its capabilities. Containing medical, dental and optometry clinics, the facility at Fort Campbell plays a big part in keeping the Screaming Eagles airborne.
We also designed and built the Soldier Family Care Clinic and Behavioral Health Clinic at Fort Carson, Colorado. In addition to medical accommodations, the facility also contains classrooms for education and training and offices for administrative personnel. At the start of this project, we knew it would have to be up to the standards of the “Mountain Medics” of the 10th Combat Support Hospital garrisoned at Fort Carson. Those guys know a thing or two about healthcare under pressure. The $17.6 million facility was completed on time and now provides quality medical care to active duty servicemen and their families.
The United States military has been setting the bar high for as long as it’s been around. When you work with them as a contractor, you know they expect the same from you. That’s why it’s not enough that to just build these healthcare facilities, we make sure they’re LEED Certified by the USGBC so they’ll be sustaining the armed forces and the environment for years to come. The United States Military knows the value of building smart healthcare facilities. Download our start-to-finish guide to learn for yourself.
