The Korte Company has been recognized as the Tilt-Up Concrete Association’s (TCA) ‘People’s Choice’ Achievement Award winner for Green Design-Build construction of the Hitachi Computer Products plant in Norman, Oklahoma. The award was driven through online voting on Facebook.
“While we certainly owe a lot of gratitude to our friends, family and followers for helping us achieve this award,” said Todd Korte, President of The Korte Company, “a great deal of focus should be on this building and what our team was able to deliver on-time and on-budget. I’m extremely proud of all involved on this one.”
Through the use of a solid, well-executed tilt-Up construction schedule, the project was completed fast and efficiently. With more than 200,000 square feet of warehouse added to its current facility, the Hitachi Computer Products plant more than doubled its size. The Hitachi facility has already survived the test of time, resisting earthquake and tornado damage from recent natural disasters. Tilt-up panels have enhanced both the quality and performance of the structure.
