The Korte Company was chosen to partner in constructing the Stillwater Senior Living Community. When complete, the single-story, 45,190 square foot facility will house 46 apartments and suites.
The community, located in Edwardsville, Illinois on University Drive, is designed to facilitate a culture change in how senior living has developed through the years. While the community will comply with all state regulations and pursue a license to operate as an Assisted Living center in Illinois, there are some fundamental differences that will help the residents feel more at home. Instead of the residents having to change their way of life, the center will work with the residents, offering individualized schedules and activities that are more in line with a healthier, more active demographic.
The majority of apartments will be one bedroom units with a number of two bedroom units available, each handicap accessible with a walk-out patio.
