The Korte Company recently completed work on the Thomas & Mack Switch Building, a 53,760 square foot communications facility for Switch Communications Group, a provider of interconnectivity and telecommunications services for businesses throughout the world.
Because their data center compounds also provide customers with a highly secure, state-of-the-art data storage service, the exterior walls were constructed of steel reinforced poured concrete. Additionally, the entry points were kept to a minimum and each exterior door was reinforced, alarmed, access controlled and monitored by a dedicated fixed camera. And should a power failure occur, the facility is equipped with two emergency generators as well as a back up battery system to ensure the safety and integrity of the stored data.
Greg Korte, President of The Korte Company’s Las Vegas Division, stated, “There was a tremendous amount of redundancy in all systems to ensure a safe, well-secured, data distribution facility.”
