Earlier this month, our team was pleased to welcome a group of students for a tour of our ongoing work at Alton Memorial Hospital’s Medical Office Building B in Alton, IL.
The project consists of a 42,000-plus-square-foot tilt-up concrete addition to an existing office building as well as a new metal-clad entrance canopy. The students are enrolled in construction and welding classes at North Tech High School in nearby Florissant, MO.
The tour was part of our ongoing effort to showcase careers in the trades and expose students interested in construction to a real-world project.
Client Services Manager Jason Weiss led the tours, which were split up into electrical, carpentry and HVAC groups so students could experience ongoing work in their focus areas.
North Tech students will be back again later this winter for another tour as the project enters its next phase.
At The Korte Company, our job is to deliver the best work to our customers on every single job. We can’t do that without attracting the best and brightest workforce. That’s why we’re proud to partner with North Tech High School and other institutions to inspire and motivate the next generation of workers by getting more students on our jobsites.
