Today, Spartan Light Metal Products broke ground on their 92,000-square-foot expansion at their Sparta, Illinois facility. Spartan Light Metal Products is a family-owned aluminum and magnesium die cast manufacturing company with expertise in machining and assembly as well as design and analysis.
As a global leader in light metal technology, Spartan provides engineered solutions and products to major automotive manufacturers, such as Ford, GM, Honda, Toyota, and Volkswagen, as well as to other commercial companies, including Hydro-Gear. Spartan ships its complex cast, machined, and assembled products to locations throughout the country and to international markets.
The facility includes 10 shipping docks, 4 receiving docks, warehouse/distribution space as well as office space, lunchroom and a driver’s lounge. The facility is scheduled to be fully operational by early 2017.
