The project provides about 50,000 square feet of additional space for weight training (both free and machine weights), aerobic conditioning, Physical Fitness Test (PFT)-specific exercises, floor aerobics, fencing and spin cycling classes.
The Air Force Academy wanted to build the $9.5 million center facility to solve address the lack of workout space for the cadet population. The addition offers a large amount of space and also includes a Cybex room, climbing walls and cardio equipment.
This facility uses Tilt-Up concrete panels with a marble stone veneer to match the existing building. And we built it to U.S. Green Building Council LEED Certified Silver standards. We proudly partnered with Hastings & Chivetta Architects on this project.
