Constructed in 1993, The Physicians Building at Anderson Hospital is a self-contained unit that provides office space, laboratories and x-ray areas. It features a doctor’s lounge, a medical staff library and an outpatient pharmacy.
As the construction manager for the project, The Korte Company provided a phased construction program to keep all patient activities out of construction areas. It required extensive knowledge of healthcare construction safety procedures to build without disrupting patient treatment, but our experienced team delivered. And we completed the project four months ahead of schedule.
Some hospital functions were relocated to the new building, including administration, medical records, personnel and public relations offices. We redesigned the main entrance and lobby of the existing hospital to accommodate this new wing. Twenty years later, The Korte Company continues to help Anderson Hospital evolve and grow, while past projects continue to be an important part of the hospital’s landscape.
