When the doctors at Anderson Hospital needed to expand the treatment facility’s capabilities, they again called on The Korte Company to deliver best-value construction and get the job done.
The 20,391-square-foot addition is located on the hospital campus, just east of the main complex. The facility contains a pharmacy, radiation storage, a Linear Accelerator therapy vault, stereo tactics, waiting areas, break rooms, exam rooms, offices and restrooms.
The therapy vault consists of a two-foot-thick concrete ceiling and walls and a neutron-shielding swing door for radiation procedures. It houses state-of-the-art equipment that provides pinpoint accuracy used to treat cancer patients. The rest of the facility includes a chemotherapy suite, a CT Scan area, exam rooms, a doctor’s office, a nurse’s station and a waiting room.
