In this Design-Build project for Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, we delivered a Commercial Off-The-Shelf facility that consolidates several remote offices into one building. The new, single-story facility incorporates a poured-in-place, architectural, Tilt-Up concrete wall system with structural steel framing. And it exceeds Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection standoff requirements as well.
The facility provides electronic engineering, testing and evaluation laboratories with temperature and humidity control, a prototype lab, engineering and logistics support areas, conference rooms, and a shipping and receiving dock area. Special features include access-controlled lab spaces, raised-access flooring, secure rooms, utilities and mechanical HVAC, a fire protection system and information systems.
