At The Korte Company, we know Design-Build. And we know medical and dental clinic construction. We’re proud of this build in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and the tangible ways our work is improving patient care.
This Design-Build project consists of a single-story medical and dental clinic. Two separate clinics are located around a central lobby space with ancillary services surrounding the primary care clinic. The dental clinic is on the south side of the lobby space, while the pharmacy opens to the central lobby and has three dispensing windows. The optometry clinic is located down the ancillary clinic corridor and includes a small dedicated sub waiting area for patients.
The primary care clinic has an exam zone and a “quiet” zone for both provider administration space and a mental health clinic. At the back of the exam zone, through the rear of the building, we placed an ambulance service loading zone — private and away from the public areas. On the south side of the “quiet” zone, the mental health clinic is separated from the treatment zone to offer more patient privacy. A sub reception and waiting area sit at the head of the clinic, allowing the queuing of patients. We set the psychologist offices on the exterior wall and designed them with windows to bring in natural light.
The facility has a standing seam metal roof, a full brick façade with masonry accents and a drop-off area at the main entrance. We’re proud this project meets Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection requirements and has earned a LEED Silver certification from U.S. Green Building Council. It’s a sustainable, built-smart clinic that uses top-to-bottom care-focused design to deliver a Korte-quality patient experience.
