A building’s design and the resulting environment can have a big impact on the way children learn and play. At The Korte Company, we’ve designed and built youth centers and schools throughout the U.S. Our team is experienced in delivering learning and activity environments that help children develop and give teachers and staff built-in resources to teach and lead. This is one of the many youth center design and construction projects we’ve completed.
The U.S. Army’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation program awarded us the Youth Services Center project near Colorado Springs, Colorado under an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract.
We came in at the onset of the project, provided best-value design services and built value engineering directly into the architectural and interior designs of the facility. We worked with the U.S. Army to establish a project budget and align all phases of the project within that budget — from surveys, design and procurement to pre-construction, construction and post-construction. It all aligned with the Army’s needs.
The new youth center had to match seamlessly with the existing youth center in design and exterior masonry materials. We phased the construction and coordinated it so the facility could continue normal daily operations. In the end, The Korte Company delivered just what the Army needed in the single-story, multi-addition to the existing youth center. And we provided an additional gymnasium, bathroom facilities, locker rooms, a multipurpose room and exterior recreational equipment.
In this build, we handled project management, architectural design, interior design and construction. We’ve delivered a range of jobs for companies big and small. Whether you need a small tenant improvement or a $10 million Design-Build, we can deliver the facility you need. Learn more about school construction at The Korte Company.
