The Department of Army, Morale, Welfare and Recreation chose The Korte Company as the Design-Build contractor for its sports complex at Fort Hood, Texas.
Designed to host tournament-level competitions, the complex includes four softball fields that surround a two-story, 2,304-square-foot concession stand/field house, open-air pavilions, bleacher seating for 600 spectators per field, complete irrigation system, parking for 175 cars, general lighting, asphalt paving for walkways and a running track which surrounds the ball diamonds.
In addition, a 2,000-square-foot maintenance building was included in the scope of work.
