At The Korte Company, we design and build quality, efficient manufacturing plants. We’ve completed more than 2,000 builds throughout that nation, including start-to-finish plant construction for some of industry’s biggest producers. This build for General Tire is one of our best.
The Korte Company was selected to design and build the Tire Mix Building at the Mt. Vernon Continental Tire Plant. The 148,000-square-foot facility has a structural steel frame, but the build also included equipment platforms constructed of cast-in-place concrete. We completed the building in 1990 at a cost of about $5 million.
This new plant construction project was part of a larger build for General Tire’s Mt. Vernon plant. The work we delivered earned us its highest honor, the Commitment to Excellence award. Recognizing our shared commitment to quality, General Tire awarded us multiple projects at the facility, including a 650,000-square-foot plant expansion. The Korte Company was also selected to install more than $150 million of equipment for the plant.
We proudly deliver quality construction for quality producers. Learn more about plant construction from The Korte Company.
