When Koller Enterprises needed to expand its existing manufacturing plant, they chose The Korte Company to plan, design and construct the new facility. The existing building consisted of several additions using different materials and structural systems, as well as a number of varying floor heights.
The challenge was to expand the facility by over 50,000 square feet, replace the wood structure, which was over 50% of the existing building, and eliminate the differential floor heights. All while keeping the building fully operational. The project was completed in three phases using Tilt-Up concrete as the primary structural system.
