The Korte Company was chosen as the construction manager for this new residential apartment community in East St. Louis, Illinois. The first large-scale urban renewal project in decades consists of 85 buildings, each featuring one and two-story apartment units. The $25 million, 40-acre development encompasses seven city blocks and includes a pool, tot play lots, new roads, sewers and street lighting. The one- to three-bedroom units range from 767 square feet to 1,283 square feet. We added an additional 27 units to the original 85 building complex two years later.
