The Korte Company worked closely with PennyMac and the design team during the 22,845-square-foot multiphase tenant improvement project at their Las Vegas headquarters.
The phased renovation included selective demolition and new construction throughout the two-story facility and included office space, conference rooms and public areas. The exterior scope of the project included site work and covered parking.
In addition to renovations in the work areas and office space, The Korte Company also delivered a 3,144-square-foot cafe, which incorporated a significant amount of demolition throughout the existing space, including the original concrete floor slabs. Electrical, plumbing, HVAC and sprinkler systems were also replaced and/or upgraded throughout the new construction phases.
To integrate the new layout and design, construction included new flooring, glass walls, special ceiling tile, lighting, plumbing, casework and kitchen workplaces. A combination of flooring materials was used throughout and included ceramics, tile and carpet. Countertop islands were constructed in the main serving area, adjacent to the commercial kitchen. Buffet servers were constructed in the main area as well, designed to maximize flow and efficiency for patrons.
The kitchen and food preparation area includes cooking ranges, flat cooking surfaces, chilled space and hot/cold serving vestibules. Fire protection and sprinkler systems run throughout the space including all cooking areas.
