The Korte Company partnered with VET Industrial to design and build a Special Operations Forces Headquarters at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state.
The 40,841-square-foot facility features a two-story framed structure with a brick veneer and metal exterior panels. The $10.9 million project also included the demolition of two existing buildings as well as site work and construction of additional parking areas.
The facility was initially designed to receive a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Silver certification. But through the hard work and dedication of the team, it was certified as USGBC LEED Gold.
