The Denver Facilities Office of the U.S. Postal Service selected The Korte Company to design and build this mail-processing center in Huron, South Dakota. The selection process was through a Design-Build competition.
The design solution was based upon a pre-engineered building with a standing seam metal roof. The exterior walls were masonry veneer with accent bands to the 7-foot, 4-inch level and metal wall panels above.
The award was based on a 210-day schedule for design and construction. Korte met this challenging schedule through extensive planning, management and commitment.
