At The Korte Company, we’re seasoned warehouse builders and have delivered more than 19 million square feet of warehouse space nationwide. This is one of our many distribution center construction projects.
The Walgreens Distribution Center in Waxahachie, Texas, is the second project designed and constructed by The Korte Company using the new Walgreens prototype design and represents the latest in state-of-the-art logistics and distribution. The project has four major components: a main warehouse, a shipping wing, a receiving wing and an automated storage retrieval system (ASRS) area. The exterior of the building is comprised of insulated Tilt-Up concrete wall panels with metal panels in the ASRS area.
The ASRS area features a computerized automated storage and retrieval system that controls eight crane-runs that operate unobstructed in the 570-foot-length of this area. Throughout the distribution center, conveyors move products to ensure a streamlined logistics system. In the main warehouse, multi-level pick modules help Walgreen Company workers fill orders and forward them to the shipping wing.
We’re pleased to deliver state-of-the-art facilities for Walgreens and distributors throughout the U.S. The Korte Company’s experienced warehouse builders can help you streamline your distribution and grow your business.
