The Korte Company worked closely with Wellish Vision Institute, a leading ophthalmology practice and LASIK provider in the greater Las Vegas area, to provide a new 9,700-square-foot surgery center and satellite office.
With two established facilities in the valley, the new site provided Wellish the ability to better serve its expanding client base throughout the surrounding communities. To help facilitate a higher level of care, the Henderson facility features two distinct, state-of-the-art medical units, a full-service LASIK surgery center and a high-quality vision care center – all within a comfortable and calming environment.
The tenant improvement project was a collaborated effort among The Korte Company, LEBO DESIGN and CBRE’s Project Management Division. The turn-key project was delivered within an aggressive 12-week construction schedule – on time and on budget.
Improvements included selective demolition and new construction, and encompassed the first floor of an existing 14,520-square-foot occupied building. Subsequently, a comprehensive construction plan was developed to minimize any disruptions to the facility’s second-floor tenants and required demolition, concrete work and metal framing to be completed during off-hours.
The newly renovated layout incorporated new walls, flooring, doors, plumbing, electrical and HVAC. The existing restroom area was completely replaced and included the removal of the existing flooring, walls and ceiling. The scope of work also included new office furnishings, shelving and cabinetry that complemented the innovative design.
