The Youth Sports Complex is comprised of seven full-size football/soccer fields, one of which is encompassed by a full-size, six-lane, 400-meter running track.
The site also included two baseball diamonds, two softball diamonds and two practice/small youth fields in the area north of the diamonds. Athletic lighting was provided for the two larger baseball diamonds as well as the two youth practice fields to the north of the baseball diamonds.
The 2,300-square-foot, one-story concession stand building is located in the center of the baseball fields and was constructed of split-face concrete masonry, prefinished standing seam metal roof on wood frame trusses, prefinished soffit, fascia and gutters. The restrooms are accessible through insulated manual roll-up doors. The concession room also has two counter roll-up doors.
The 2,000-square-foot maintenance building is located south of the baseball fields near the parking lot. The exterior design includes a 14-foot eave height, prefinished standing seam metal roof on wood frame trusses, prefinished soffits, fascia, and gutters, non-insulated roll-up manual doors, hollow metal doors and frames.
The site concept was developed in conformance with UFC 4-010-01 DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings (February 9, 2012). The Youth Sports Complex has a force protection classification of “Low Occupancy.”
